Is Dearborn Christian Preschool affiliated with any church?

Yes. Dearborn Christian Fellowship is our host church. 

How involved in the school is the pastor of the church Dearborn Christian Fellowship?

The pastor's involvement is minimal.  The pastor is not a board member.

How qualified are DCPS teachers?

All of our teachers are qualified to teach through the State of Michigan child-care licensing requirments.

Are DCPS teachers available to answer questions during the school year?

Yes! Teachers are usually available before and after preschool to discuss concerns with parents. Parents are also encouraged to contact their child's teacher through e-mail.

Are all DCS teachers born-again Christians?

Yes. Thorough screening is done during the hiring process and they must continue to show spiritual maturity and sensitivity while on staff at Dearborn Christian Preschool.

Do students go on field trips?

Yes.  Field trips may be taken during the school year if the experience will be developmentally appropriate and enrich the current unit of study.   

Does DCPS provide transportation for field trips?

No.  Licensing regulations require that class be held at the field trip site, with parents providing transporatation and remainig with the child for the duration of the trip.  

Are field trips included in the cost of tuition?

Field trip costs are additonal to tuition; however the costs are minimal.

How do I know what is going on at DCPS?

As needed communication is sent home with your child.  Additionally at drop-off and pick-up a bulletin board displays current information For an up-to-the-minute look, please visit our online school calendar.

If needed, can my child have speech therapy or other special services?

No, the Dearborn Public Schools provide these services beginning with Kindergarten students.

Do you have a latch key (before and after school care) program?

Yes.  Please visit our before and after school care program page.

How do I enroll my child/children at Dearborn Christian Preschool? 

You may request an Enrollment Packet from the Admissions page or by calling the school office, (313) 563-1240, and a packet will be mailed to you. Enrollment Packets can also be picked up at the school. To enroll online, please visit our preschool application.
