Before and after school care
As financial requirements and family dynamics continue to change, we understand the need for before and after school care. Based on this need, Dearborn Christian School has implemented a before and after school care program for Preschool through 8th grade. This program is now available at Dearborn Christian School. Our purpose
Our primary purpose is to provide quality before and after school care for children from families of Dearborn Christian School and Preschool. State certified caregivers staff on regular school days and the schedules are flexible, according to the needs of the parents.
Hours of operation:
7:30am-8:30am 3:30pm-6:00pm
Before and after school care will solely operate on days that Dearborn Christian School is in session. No after school care on half days.
Registration and scheduling
All DCS families are welcome to register and forms are available from the school office. All participating families schedule for care blocks with adjustments being made by the Friday of the week before care is given. Unscheduled dropoffs are not available.
Unanticipated use by families (examples: late pickup, late decision to use service, etc.) will be allowed one day of grace without payment. When they pick up their child on that day they will receive notice that the next time they will not be admitted without a schedule.
Rates and fees
Before and after care is free to new enrollments for 2012 – 2013 in grades K – 8. Existing families and Preschool families are charged at the following rates:
The smallest increment of time is .5 hour. All rates will be hourly and will be accrued daily. 
In the event of a parent running late, a $1.00 per minute late charge will be accrued for late pick ups for all students
